Mário Agostinelli was born in Peru of Italian and Spanish origin.
He studied in France, Spain and Italy and lived between California and New York
for more than twenty years.
Exhibitions of his works were held in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago,
Dallas, Boston etc,
Latelly the Hakone Museum of Tokio, Japan, held an exhibition of his works.
Agostinelli is now internationally known between the sculptors as the "Carioca
Honorario".
In his strong and sensitive hands, the metal or marble becomes smooth with
plenty of force , lirism and beauty.
Between Brazil and United States, Agostinelli's sculptures
appear among the finest private collections of contemporary art.
